The Fight - The Enemy
Atori-Tuttori is our opponent. Please take the time to read his wiki page and learn what we are up against.The Fight - The Party
It's probably going to be too much of a clusterfk to rely on any finesse or blink tanking - it's only a 10 minute fight and his accuracy is great. So here's the tentative setup;- PLD/WAR - Deltai (Primary tank)
- WAR/SAM - Gnaal
- MNK/WAR - Zyhlaari
- BLU/RDM - Insrick (convert=>keep pumping damage)
- SCH/RDM | OR | WHM/RDM - Kaegos
- WHM or Support (COR/BRD/SCH) - Pickup
I've labelled Deltai as primary tank because even if she survives the whole fight, the heavy fighters (Zyh, Gnaal) WILL pull hate and part-tank.
The Fight - Strategy
This isn't our first rodeo, so you should know what I mean when I say we'll be doing an Olde Rarab Tail Rotation to help lock him down. We won't be doing it back-to-back like Promyvions, but pretty close to it.Outside of this order, here are some tactical considerations for each role;
- Deltai - Tank & Spank; try to hold Sentinel until you're in trouble or when he Hundred Fists - use Invincible as a fall-back if you have to. He has high enspell damage - part of this will be reduced by WHM, but if you can fit MDB/MDT-% without sacrificing too much, do so.
- Gnaal - Swing hard and fast. Note he has a cap of 100 dmg per swing normally, so if you need to WS use whatever has the most hits (KJ probably 'cause it's reliable). Use your 2hr during a time when he's got Rarab Tail on - plan for this. 2hr WS, Icarus Wing WS, and squeeze as much as you can out of it.
- Zyhlaari - You'll be doing most of the dmg in this fight because you hit rapidly and the dmg cap matters less to you. Asuran Fists is the WS of choice while his shield is up, because it counts as 8 individual hits. Try to use Hundred Fists when he's got the rarab tail on. Save Dodge for when you get heat, use perfect counter liberally. You'll probably die in this fight lol.
- Insrick - Multi-hit spells are your friend, and by using them you should be able to do respectable damage. Anything where each hit is worth more than 100 will be a bit of a waste while he's got shield up though, so use weaker multi-hits to conserve MP. Unload when the Rarab Tail is on.
- Kaegos - If i'm coming SCH, I will buff the party at the start with an AoE + Double-duration Embrava, granting 70+ HP/tick Regen, 6 TP/tick Regain, and 34% Haste. Further to that I'll also give everyone an Enspell effect to help pile on the damage under his dmg cap. If I'm WHM it's because we couldn't find another competent healer and someone else will be running Zerg Support.
By observing these strategems and using the Rarab Tail rotation (with the most-likely-to-die people going first in the rotation), we should be able to slam this guy.
As always if you have any queries hit me up or post them here.
