Wut

Most of you are using Spellcast for your gearswaps, and those that aren't should be and will soon be converted (muahaha). The logic for Spellcast files runs on a form of scripting however, so normally it's best to just leave it to me to edit the files for you whenever anything changes.

That's where this plan comes in! This configuration will give me just a single directory that I can access that houses everyone's spellcast files, and when I update it the update automatically pushes to everyone!

1) Dropbox

If you aren't already a user, sign up here http://db.tt/KCFe51f
Download and install the client onto your computer - you must have the app itself installed, the web console won't cut it.

2) Post/Contact me

Let me know when you're signed up so i can share the Spellcast folder to your dropbox.

3) Junction

Download Junction at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896768.aspx
Put the .exe somewhere with a simple filepath (e.g. C:\stuff )

Go to your Dropbox folder and ensure the Spellcast folder is appearing

Go to your Windower folder and delete your original spellcast folder (under Windower\plugins\ )

Open command prompt

Enter the command: cd <path to junction.exe>, e.g. cd C:\stuff

Enter the command: junction <original location> <dropbox location>

Where original = the windower spellcast folder you just deleted before, e.g. "C:\Windower\plugins\spellcast"

Where dropbox = the path to dropbox folder. On Windows 7 this is "C:\users\username\Dropbox\Spellcast".
On XP, change the C:\users to C:\Documents and Settings\

Note that "username" means the name of your user account in Windows.

So for example my command looked like: junction "C:\Windower\plugins\spellcast" "C:\users\Kaegos\Dropbox\Spellcast".

Run the command, and you'll have to agree to the license agreement, and then it'll execute.

It'll create a folder called spellcast inside your windower folder that actually redirects to the dropbox folder, without the OS realising it.

So your spellcast doesn't realise it's getting redirected and just keeps loading the XML files anyway, and meanwhile whenever I update someones file Dropbox will automatically propagate the change :)

Any technical difficulties come to me please.
